Prom 2012 Blog Post

What was your prom like? Prom is a special time mainly for seniors to have their last school dance but at Spa it's for anyone who is eligible. This year I went to prom and I don't think it coud've been any better. The few hours we had to get ready, getting on the bust and arriving at sea world, having the time of my life once i was inside.
The few hours I had to get ready  were very stressfull. I had no idea how I was going to do my makeup or my hair. I knew that my house parent Quinn was going to do my hair I just didn't know how especially since it's so short. My makeup wasn't that hard since all i needed was some mascarra and some eyeliner. I guess the saying "less is more" is right in this case. In the end my house looked amazing and it was so much fun getting all pretty for prom with most of my housemates.
It took a long time for everyone to get on the bus because everyone was taking pictures and complimenting each other on their dresses or their suits. It was amazing how many different style dresses there were, there were no girls wearing similiar dresses except for myself and Frankie who were the same dress but in different colors. When the busses finally left and we were on our way to Sea World the bus was full of noise and could'nt have possibly been louder. I was so anxious to get to our destinitaion that I was practically bouncing off my seat.
Once we got to Sea world i was amazed because we were brought to the starfish pond area and that where we had our snacks before our meal with some nice lemonade or fruit punch and we were'nt cold either because there were numerous heat lamps that were on and burning at full heat that it was a good warmth. At seven o'clock we were allowed in the dance area where we were served salad, then dinner, then dessert surrounded by numerous aquariums filled with many differnt species of fish, sharks, and they even had turtles! Of course there was great music for dancing and having a good time. I almost danced to every song and had the honor of dancing with tarrence on a slow song since he was given the title prince from Jojo even though he really one the crown. All around the party was magically and will definitaly be memorable.
I wish that this prom would have lasted longer and I really don't think that any other prom could've been compared to how great this prom was. Everything was basically planned from what dress the girls wore, the guys getting fitted for their tux, or getting nails, hair, and makeup done so that you knew that this night would be perfect, and it was. By the end of prom I came home so tired after using all my energy to have as much fun as possible that I literally passed out after my head hit my pillow and I will never forget my very first prom for the rest of my life........O.K. so I can't guarentee that i won't forget that night but I hope that I'll remember it for a very long time. :)
